Well, as expected, my plans have changed quite a bit and nearly everything I planed got more or less cancelled/replaced by something different. But at least I managed to keep my plans for the beginning of the year, that’s at least some progress :’D

Oh god, I love this cosplay, I really love it!
To be honest, I felt rather ugly at the con, but now that I have the photos, I am convinced that this Cos is a success! :D

There are some things I want to change when I wear it again, ESPECIALLY the wig which was suddenly much much too short D: When I did my make up test it was all good and at the con it was just… poof, short D:

But all in all I am VERY satisfied with how everything came out even with my sewing fails (which you fortunately can’t see, haha :DD)

I. AM. FINISHED!

In two days I’m on my way to the bookfair and I just finished my cosplay! Wohoo!
Okay, I still have to do a thing or two like adding some buttons to the vest and things like that, BUT I’m finished with sewing, I’m finished with painting, I’m finished with my nerves.

I am honest, the jacket is a disaster.. at least on the inside. The lining fitted so good and I was so happy… until I noticed it didn’t fit and it was already too late because I already added the binding and everything. So I took my last resort and cut out half of the lining in the back. I don’t care. Now it looks good and nobody is obliged (or allowed) to look inside my costumes :’D

On the other hand, the collar came out PERFECT. Seriously, I love it so much and I was so afraid that this wouldn’t work out and oh my god. On the other hand, I failed the cuffs. I spent a whole day trying to make a pattern for them and in the end it all didn’t work out the way I wanted, so I had to do them the way I didn’t want to do them… but it’ll have to do for LBM, I maybe try making them again for when I wear the costume again.

Other than that, there are a few things that bother me, but nothing serious. I like how it turned out and I just hope it will survive the con and look good as a whole :D I’m so excited to wear it on Saturday! I guess I’ll write a bit more about the costume when the first photos are there ^___^

(and no, I didn’t forget that one button at the left side of my shoulder. That’s where I will attach the brooch :D)

Okay. Progress Time.
This is what I’ve finished so far for my Kaito Requiem Module from Project Diva f.

First, don’t look too closely, the pictures have awful quality. First picture is for the trousers, belts and boots. One belt is still missing, the trousers miss a button that actually won’t come of if I move 10 inches and the boots…. well. They just look very, very awful in this picture, but I figured that might be because I didn’t lace them properly enough. Which has it’s reasons, because the first eyelets already start tearing and I want these boots to actually survive the convention… So yeah, they look quite horrible. I also think about using a thinner sting as lace or maybe I’ll just sew this one thinner, I think it’ll look better that way.

The trousers were actually quite fun to make, I used an old pair I wore for work as pattern because those were mens trousers and I figured they fit better. But I’ve never sewn so neat pants since I did Sigma which is kind of an improvement. I finally managed to find out how the hell zippers in trousers work.

Then there’s my “belt cage” how I call it affectionately. I initially intended to make this work with only fasteners, but that just looked ugly so I sewed everything together instead and so I have a belt cage now. The last belt is still missing because it still needs its buckle.

On to the lower pictures, on the left is one of my “hands”. The armor part was made out of Worblas and I am actually kind of impressed how well I am still able to move my fingers. At least it’s enough to eat and drink by myself. On the other side, the brooch. The chain part looks better when it hangs down, trust me, like this it’s kind of weird. It’s also made of Worblas and a artificial rose I found at Butlers, painted with some black and white eyeshadow to give it some depth. The idea of using cheap necklaces as chains I actually got from another cosplayer, because I liked that really much.

What’s also done but you can’t see is the vest (it still misses buttons) which to be honest went horribly wrong and nobody ever is allowed to see it from behind. Also, the puffy frills for the hands, but they aren’t that special so I left them out.

So the only things left are the jabot and the jacket, where the collar will be my final nightmare. If I manage to pull that off, I can die happily.

Yeah, so much for that.
I hope I’ll be able to finish everything in time and that in the end everything will be well. Wish me luck.

I am so glad we did these, Paranoid Doll is and will forever be my favorite Vocaloid song ;w; It was damn fun, but really, REALLY cold despite  we shot it inside.
